I direct several ensembles at the Atelierschule Zürich. I also direct the orchestra at die Singwochen.
I occasionally conduct in other temporary projects.
When I have the freedom to choose repertoire, I find a balance between canonical and unknown works very important. For several years now, I have followed a self-imposed rule to always include at least one woman composer among each concert programme, both in instrumental and choral music. This is a slow process, after years of a male-oriented curriculum in studying music, but it has led to me discovering so much amazing music by composers that I had never even heard of before I started this journey.
For me, my job as a conductor is to present the musicians on the stage and the music that they play in the best light possible. I see no room for my own ego in this equation.
Apart from conducting I also regularly orchestrate or arrange works, both for my concerts and for other projects. A personal passion of mine is arranging piano music for chamber music or orchestral settings, and this can be heard in most programmes which I put together. Orchestral Conducting
I have been conducting ensembles for over 10 years now. I started when I was a teenager and then in my studies I had years of lessons, both as part of our curriculum and supplementary.
I co-directed the orchestra at the Atelierschule Zürich for several years. In recent years I have taken over as sole director.

Choral Conducting
During the last few years of my studies I also took supplementary lessons in choral conducting. For a few years now I have directed the choir and the vocal ensemble at the Atelierschule Zürich. Next to these classical ensembles I also co-direct the pop choir.
